Local Attractions
Information about activities and attractions year around in Courtenay, Comox, Mount Washington, and the entire Comox Valley area.
The Comox Valley encompasses the three communities of Courtenay, Comox, and Cumberland, each carved from the natural beauty of the surrounding forest and farmland. The area is renowned for its outdoor recreation opportunities which is maybe best exemplified every spring by the Annual Snow to Surf Race featuring snow shoeing, alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, running, mountain biking, kayaking, road biking, and canoeing. We have it all in the Comox Valley.
In addition to outdoor pursuits, the Comox Valley boasts world-class restaurants. Their mouth-watering fare is often locally produced from the myriad of farms in the area. The Comox Valley is one of the largest agricultural areas on Vancouver Island. Our Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday throughout the year. During the summer there is a mid-week market on Wednesdays as well. And there is always great food and great music.
Music is another year-long attraction in the Comox Valley available at various small venues along with three-day events like the Vancouver Island Music Fest held every July.
